His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Khalid Foundation and Chairman of the Award Committee, honored the standards pioneers of the King Khalid Award for 2025 at the King Khalid Foundation headquarters in Riyadh — the private institutions, nonprofit organizations, and initiatives that achieved the highest standards in several areas among the award's participants.
His Highness expressed his gratitude to the honored entities and to the development-partner pioneers behind the initiatives, looking forward to their continued efforts to consolidate impact and achieve sustainable growth, while affirming that the door remains open to them in the coming years to compete for the award's top positions.
His Highness stressed that honoring the standards pioneers embodies the principle that true excellence is measured by the quality of work, depth of impact, and commitment to responsibility, noting that the honorees proved their leadership through solid institutional systems and advanced awareness of the standards that make a difference and build sustainability.
During the ceremony, the honorees received commemorative plaques for their efforts and excellence in applying the award's standards. The honors were conferred as follows:
Development Partners Award: the "Lathgha" app initiative won the innovation and creativity standard; the "Athar Platform for Developing the Nonprofit Sector" initiative won the positive impact standard; the "Zhatak" initiative won the sustainability standard; and the "Lisan Mubeen" electronic platform for Arabic language and literature won the growth and scalability standard.
Nonprofit Organizations Excellence Award: for the strategy standard: the Al-Ainaya Health Charitable Association for Patient Care and the Saut Down Syndrome Association; for the governance standard: the Al-Faisaliya Women's Charitable Association in Jeddah; for the financial management and investment standard: Taybah Doctors Charitable Association (Hayat); for the information technology standard: the Charitable Center for Qur'an Education and Sciences; for the communication and resource development standard: the Safanah Charitable Association for Health Services in Hail and the Sawaed Association in Al-Majma'ah; for the human resources standard: the Charitable Association for Qur'an Memorization in Wadi Laya; and for the performance and impact measurement standard: the Charitable Association for Orphan Care in the Madinah Region (Takafol).
Sustainability Award: Madinah Cement Company won the governance standard, the National Water Company the environmental standard, ACWA Power the social standard, and Al-Andalus Real Estate Company was the top performer among small and medium enterprises.
It is noteworthy that the King Khalid Award, over sixteen years since its launch, continues its mission as a national platform that elevates the value of institutional work, raises the efficiency of organizations, strengthens governance and sustainability practices, and consolidates a culture of performance and impact measurement — extending the King Khalid Foundation's approach of maximizing impact through development and empowerment.
