McDonald's Saudi Arabia has concluded its annual charity campaign "Your Support Completes Their Story," which it launched during the holy month of Ramadan, adding a new chapter of giving to its ongoing journey of supporting the community.
The campaign received remarkable approval and response from McDonald's Saudi Arabia's valued customers, who played a major role in contributing to and ensuring the success of the campaign. It centered on selling purposeful storybooks for children at SAR 10 per book, with the full proceeds going to support children with Down syndrome in cooperation with specialized charities. A total of 113,280 books were sold during the holy month, generating charitable proceeds of SAR 1,132,800, which were fully directed to rehabilitation and specialized programs serving children with Down syndrome in several regions of the Kingdom, including:
- The Down Syndrome Charity Association (DSCA): received financial support of SAR 339,840 to support 32 children through McDonald's two programs for enhancing language and functional efficiency, enabling children to use effective communication tools and strengthening their language skills.
- The Saut Down Syndrome Association: received financial support of SAR 593,587 to support 80 children through McDonald's two programs for self-help and reading and writing, which aim to develop children's independence skills and enhance their ability to interact and integrate with others.
- The Iffaa Association for the Care of People with Disability: received financial support of SAR 199,373 to support 33 children through McDonald's "Madarik" and "Mahara" programs, developing children's sensory and vocational abilities and contributing to their practical skills.
Together, these programs serve one goal: empowering these children to acquire skills that strengthen their independence and contribute to their effective integration within their community.
McDonald's Saudi Arabia extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to all customers who contributed to the campaign's success, as their contribution had the greatest impact in turning every book sold into a real opportunity in the life of a child who deserves all the support.
His Highness Prince Majid bin Fahd bin Farhan Al Saud, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Riyadh International Foods (McDonald's Saudi Arabia), handed over the donation checks to the benefiting associations during a ceremony held at the company's headquarters in Riyadh.
The campaign falls under the "From You, To You" corporate social responsibility platform, reflecting McDonald's Saudi Arabia's commitment to building a genuine partnership with its community and cementing its role as a brand that believes true success is measured by the impact it leaves on people's lives.
