HRH Princess Reema bint Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

Chairman of the Board of Directors

HRH Princess Reema bint Sultan represents a pioneer in charitable work and a role model for young women and businesswomen in Saudi Arabia. She plays an important role in empowering women through her unlimited support for organizations and funding for small and medium-sized projects. Her relationship with Saut Down Syndrome Association dates back to 1986. Today she chairs the Board of Directors and plays a major role in educating, training and rehabilitating students with Down Syndrome in the Kingdom.

HRH Princess Basma bint Badr bin Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors

HRH Princess Basma bint Badr bin Abdulmohsen is distinguished by her passion for children's development and education, which led her to join the Board of Saut Down Syndrome Association in 2010. As treasurer of the Association, she plays a fundamental role in raising awareness about the capabilities of children with Down Syndrome and encouraging their integration into society. She founded the "Talent Room" center in Riyadh, specialized in developing life skills and Arabic language for children under four.

HRH Princess Mudi bint Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

Board Member

HRH Princess Mudi bint Khalid represents a symbol of pioneering charitable and developmental work in Saudi Arabia for more than 30 years. She worked tirelessly to support people with Down Syndrome in the early 1980s and is credited with establishing the first schools for Down Syndrome in Saudi Arabia. Today, as Secretary General of Saut Down Syndrome Association, she shapes the institution's strategies. In January 2013, she became one of the first 30 women in the Kingdom's history to be appointed to the Shura Council.

HRH Princess Sarah bint Mohammed bin Nayef Al Saud

Board Member

Joined Saut Down Syndrome Association in 2015, with a keen interest in social and volunteer work, especially regarding people with special needs. She served as CEO of NYOO Fitness Centers from 2011–2018 and as a consultant in the fitness sector. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing with Second Class Honours from the University of Westminster.

Ms. Sarah bint Abdullah bin Salem Bahmdan

Board Member

Ms. Sarah Bahmdan serves as Director of the Private Office of the Bahmdan Group and Board Member of the Group's Education Committee. She joined Saut Down Syndrome Association in 2016. She has extensive skills and expertise in management, brand development, and the fashion industry, and works closely in supporting charitable work at all levels.

Ms. Shama bint Mohammed bin Yousef Al-Shunaifi

Board Member

Ms. Shama Al-Shunaifi has over 35 years of experience in social and volunteer work. She has a great passion for people with special needs and joined the Board of Saut Down Syndrome Association in 2010. She brings her expertise as a mother of five children and her educational background to provide professional insights to the Board. She also holds membership in several non-profit organizations in the Kingdom.

Dr. Lama bint Saadi Taher

Board Member

Dr. Lama is a Clinical Psychologist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, a consultant accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) accredited by the British Psychological Society. She provides psychological assessment for children and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She has numerous published research papers and is a member of the specialized team in the Azer Program – Ishraq Association, accredited by the Ministry of Health.

Ms. Samiha bint Ahmad bin Hamad Al-Qusaibi

Board Member

Ms. Samiha Al-Qusaibi has a long history in charitable and volunteer work, including co-founding several associations such as Gulf Girl Association since its establishment in Al-Khobar in 1965. She is a founding and active member of Saut Down Syndrome Association since 2010. She is also a board member of the Arab Businesswomen Council and a board member of Ahmed Hamad Al-Qusaibi and Brothers Group, where she serves as Director of Public Relations.

Dr. Munirah Abdullah Saleh Barja

Board Member

Dr. Munirah is a Family Medicine Consultant at King Abdulaziz Medical City – National Guard. She has extensive medical experience and was a former member of the Advisory Physicians Committee at the Ministry of Health's Health Awareness Media Center. She currently serves on the Scientific Council for Family Medicine and the Scientific Committee for Primary Mental Health Care at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and is a board member of Zahra Breast Cancer Association.
