McDonald's Saudi Arabia announced the launch of its annual charity campaign, timed with the holy month of Ramadan, to support and empower 265 children with Down syndrome through an initiative that combines culture and humanitarian work under the slogan "Your Support Completes Their Story."
The campaign is implemented in partnership with three specialized charities caring for children with Down syndrome: the Saut Down Syndrome Association, DSCA Charity Association, and Iffaa Association for the Care of People with Disability, funding six specialized rehabilitation programs aimed at developing children's skills, strengthening their independence, and supporting their integration into society.
Proceeds from the sale of these storybooks are allocated to support the three associations, which offer integrated programs to empower children with Down syndrome. The support covers DSCA Charity Association through the "Language and Functional Efficiency" programs, benefiting 60 children; the Saut Down Syndrome Association through the "Self-Help and Reading and Writing" programs, benefiting 143 children; and Iffaa Charity Association through the "Madarik" and "Mahara" programs, benefiting 59 children.
These programs will be implemented between September 2026 and June 2027. The initiative aims to sell 200,000 educational storybooks at SAR 10 each, with the full proceeds going to support these programs, in addition to enabling donations by redeeming loyalty points through the McDonald's app.
The campaign is part of the "From You, To You" corporate social responsibility platform, affirming McDonald's Saudi Arabia's commitment to creating sustainable impact in society and inviting everyone to contribute to writing a new chapter of hope in the lives of these children.
